Remedy Developer Job Description:

TEKsystems' client has an immediate need for a Remedy Software Engineer for a 6+ month contract located in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:

You will be employed to architect, deploy, support, and in some cases, train users on the BMC Remedy product set. Candidate should have successfully deployed of 7.x SLM and the Atrium CMDB 2.x.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:



· Develop and deploy SLMs (SLAs) for key business processes using BMC Remedy SLM 7.x

· Configuration and integration with Remedy Atrium CMDB

· Development and customization of BMC Remedy applications

· Deliver design specifications after attending "Requirements Analysis" sessions and customer workshops

· Scope and develop custom applications

· Provide system and customization documentation

· System troubleshooting

· Implement integrations to the BMC Remedy applications

· Provide technical assistance on pre-sales calls and demos

· Assist the Frontline Support when not working on active projects

· Provide project leadership and project management

· Mentor junior engineers



Required Skills/Experience/Education:

· A four-year undergraduate degree

· Demonstrated mastery of documentation software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio; Adobe Acrobat; a graphics editing package such as Photoshop, etc.)

· References indicating a proven track record of working well with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) AND with non-technical managers and project stakeholders

· Experience in business process and/or technical consulting

· Experience with IT systems and technology platforms

· Experience defining and leading IT improvement projects



Preferred Experience/Education

· Project management experience (on documentation projects)

· Experience with ITIL best practices

· Experience with Remedy software products (also good: software in the same general class and category, as concepts will be familiar)

· Experience with PRINCE2 project management methodology (also good: PMI project management experience)

· Experience with Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration and Asset Management

· Knowledge of ITIL and other IT Best Practices frameworks (ideally, Foundations-certified) (also good: Six Sigma, CMMI, other methodologies)

· Experience with SDLC tools and methodologies

Security Compliance Analyst Job Description:

TEKsystems' client is in need of a Security Compliance Analyst for a 3+ month contract.

Responsibilities:

-Gathers and organizes security compliance information on a schedule determined by security management
- Ensures the accuracy of the information within the security department and with other business units as appropriate
- Works to streamline and automate the processes of gathering compliance and metrics information
-Ensuring compliance through Information Security Policies and repeatable compliance process
-Providing trend and metrics templates that report on client's security and compliance posture
-Supporting the development, documentation, deployment, review and maintenance of Information Security Policies, Standards, Guidelines and Procedures
-Communicating Information Security Policies and providing
process improvement recommendations

Essential Job Functions:

-Acts as security compliance reviewer for the company
-Provides regular status reports to the ISSD Manager
-Assists with IT security compliance reviews based on the ISO 17799 and NERC standards, using accepted evaluation practices
-Conducts independent General Control and Application Control reviews and present unbiased opinions
-Uses software tools to gather system configuration information and vulnerabilities
-Identifies risk areas, and ensure that adequate controls are in place and operating effectively by using thorough testing methods
-Assists with Risk Assessments on corporate assets using a formal methodology and recommend safeguards to mitigate risk
-Communicates review findings to the ISSD Manager in a clear and concise method
-Compiles and reports on security compliance metrics
-Maintains current knowledge of security technology trends and hacker tools and methods
-Maintains the confidentiality of review results and the status of the current security environment

Preferred:

-Experience with SAS70 reviews and NERC CIP knowledge
