Position :    Very Sr. Oracle Apps Consualtant (R- 12)
Location :   Boston, MA
Duration :   18 Months

 

As the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Development Lead, this candidate will be responsible for ensuring delivery of implementation development requirements within agreed upon schedules and budget.  The candidate will supervise both internal employees as well as third-party vendors, both onshore and offshore, and act as a liaison between the Enterprise Infrastructure and Enterprise Application groups.  The role will also be responsible for developing and/or overseeing the generation of performance metrics, project plans, work progress, issue resolution, code promotion, escalations, and the SDLC in general.

The successful candidate will manage on and offshore development activities and play a key role in the replacement of the legacy application to an Oracle Release 12 Financials, HR, and Payroll solution utilizing the Oracle SOA technology stack.

Day to Day Responsibilities and required experience include:
Oversee system integrator and internal staff during the design, development and implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)implementation.
Management of resources in a distributed environment, including offshore
Prior J2EE and ERP application development management experience, preferably with Oracle Application Server in an E-Business Suite environment, database technologies (10g) and SOA technologies such as Oracle, BEA or WebSphere.
Prior hands-on application design and development experience and ability to effectively manage object-oriented applications.
Solid comprehension of hardware, software, database technologies and networking solutions.
Ability to work in partnership with Senior Management to develop hardware and software technical strategies.
Experience managing in a J2EE environment required.
Ensure adherence to organizational guidelines with respect to the program methodology, audit standards and ensure reporting appropriate reporting
 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
7-10+ years of IT development management experience, preferably in Fortune 500 environment
Customer-facing management experience, preferably in a Big 5 consulting environment or similar
Experience with Oracle Development Standards, Code Reviews, Best Practices.
Minimum 3-5 years experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) with deep understanding of development, customization, configuration and application support.
Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) module knowledge of Financials, HR, and Payroll modules preferred
Prior experience managing development efforts utilizing Oracle JDeveloper
Minimum 3-5 years, recent object oriented (J2EE) application design methodology and hands-on development experience, required.
Working knowledge of Web Services and Oracle SOA architecture (BPEL, BPM ESB) and other standards such as EDI, HL7 and XML required.
Systems engineering and applications development background
Experience with automated diagnostic, tuning and testing tools desired, especially Mercury PPM Suite.
Prior experience performing legacy application migration and data conversion experience desired.
Demonstrated ability to follow development methodologies, such as SDLC, Agile and other IT industry standards.
Experience in leveraging development simulation, emulation tools, modeling
Experience ITIL standards desired.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional technology skills relative to software/technical architecture and object oriented development.
Strong project, people and problem management skills including customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to successfully coach, evaluate and critique vendor work.
Ability to evaluate and critique technical staff
Ability to grasp and stay current with new technologies.
Self-motivated, self-supervised and driven.
